Worship Ministry

Psalm 150 (NIV)
¹ Praise the LORD. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens.
² Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness.
³ Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre,
⁴ praise Him with tambourine and dancing, praise Him with the strings and flute,
⁵ praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals.
⁶ Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.

      Psalm 150:6 is the core of our worship ministry. Our purpose is to teach everyone how to praise our great God and to lead His people in worship every time we gather together in God's house. But our worship is more than just what happens on Sundays and Wednesdays. We worship the Lord through our lifestyle everyday. As we gather together each week as a body of believers, we experience the overflow of walking with the Lord on a daily basis. From the youngest to the oldest, everyone involved in the worship ministry is here to praise God and help lead our congregation in praising Him.


Below are several ways to be involved in the worship ministries of Valley Creek Baptist Church:

Praise Choir

Sings weekly during the 8:30 a.m. service. Rehearses Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. in the choir room.
Style of music: Traditional Choral
Open to all ages. Must be able to smile and worship.

Worship Choir

Sings the first Sunday of every month during the 11:00 a.m. service.
Rehearses once a month on Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. (See bulletin for specific information)
Style of music: Contemporary Choral
Open to all ages. Must be able to smile and worship.
 

Children’s Choir

Sings seasonally and for special events.
Rehearses Sundays at 5:00 p.m. in the choir room.
Style of music: Children’s Choral
Ages K5 through 6th grade
 

Worship Team/Band

Leads congregational worship weekly during the 11:00 a.m. service.
Rehearses weekly on Thursday nights at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Downpour (Youth Praise Band)

Leads Wednesday night Whatever Youth services and Youth-led worship services.
Rehearses Tuesday nights at 7:30 p.m. in the youth room.
